About Us
Combat Hunger in South Sudan (CHISS) is a dynamic and passionate South Sudanese owned agricultural social organization founded in 2024 with the aim to fight hunger and promote food security in the country. Founded with a strong belief in the power of agriculture to transform lives, CHISS has been working tirelessly since its inception to develop and implement comprehensive food security programs that provide immediate relief while also fostering long-term self-sufficiency and resilience among the local population.
Our Business Model
CHISS operates on a sustainable business model, which includes a combination of revenue streams and external support. While we maintain strategic partnerships with governmental and nongovernmental organizations and explore revenue-generating activities such as selling surplus agricultural produce and providing fee-based agricultural training services, we also rely on donor funding and grants to complement our funding sources.
Transparency and accountability remain paramount in our financial management, ensuring efficient utilization of resources to achieve our mission of combating hunger and promoting food security in South Sudan.
